Teacher Certification Application Meeting
All teacher candidates who are anticipating the year-long teacher residency or the academic internship for the upcoming semester are required to attend the teacher certification meeting. The meeting will be held at the beginning of each Spring or Fall semester. During the meeting, teacher candidates will complete all paperwork required by the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) to obtain initial teacher certification.

The following items will be needed during the meeting:

Black ballpoint or roller ball ink pen.

Copies of all pages of passing scores for the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators: Reading Test, Writing Test, and Mathematics Test, the Praxis II-Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT), and the Praxis II- Content Knowledge tests. Your social security number and UL Lafayette must be listed on each Praxis score report. If your social security number or UL Lafayette is not listed on the score report, you should call ETS at 1-800-772-9476.

Legal documentation (marriage certificate) for a name change if your last name differs on your UL Lafayette transcript, praxis score reports, etc.
- Money order for $50 payable to the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE). Please make sure your money order does NOT have an expiration date.
