Teaching Certificate
A program completer is a teacher candidate who has successfully completed all Teacher Preparation Program requirements, including the year-long Teacher Residency, and all degree requirements as outlined by the university and the College of Education and Human Development to be recommended for initial teacher certification to the Louisiana Department of Education.
How to Access and Print Your Teaching Certificate
Effective June 16, 2010, the Division of Certification, Preparation, and Recruitment will no longer print and mail Louisiana teaching and/or ancillary certificates. You may verify issuance and print a copy of your certificate by visiting verify teaching certificate on the Teach Louisiana website.
Teaching certificates will not be available to print from the Teach Louisiana website until 6-8 weeks after your graduation date. If your name is not found on record, this means that your application has not been opened by the Louisiana Department of Education. Please continue to check back periodically until you are able to print your certificate.
